Session 5 JULY 8 - 12 Summer Camp

At The Red Barn Farm, we place great emphasis on providing our guests with an immersive and enjoyable experience that revolves around animal interactions. Our main objective is agritourism - offering visitors the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the inner workings of our farm.
 
An exceptional youth program offered at The Red Barn Farm is our Animal Explorers summer camp. This camp is specifically designed for young animal enthusiasts who want to dive deep into the world of animals. Through hands-on activities and direct involvement with various animals such as rabbits, emus, chickens, mini horses, and mini donkeys, campers not only gain knowledge about these creatures but also actively participate in their day-to-day care. This hands-on approach allows them to develop a strong understanding of animal husbandry while fostering teamwork and unity among their peers.
 
Our summer camp at The Red Barn Farm takes pride in providing an incredible opportunity for campers to intimately engage with our resident animals and acquire comprehensive knowledge about them. From feeding and grooming to training and overall caretaking, campers are involved in every aspect of animal care. By the end of the camp session, they confidently lead their parents on a captivating farm tour where they proudly showcase everything they have learned. This transformative experience not only enhances their self-confidence but also nurtures their leadership skills.

Parent Information: 
Tuition $275
Arrival 7:50 - 8:00 am
Dismissal 3:00 pm (Friday dismissal at 3:30)
Extended day camp hours available from 3:00 - 5:00 ($50 will be added to camp tuition)
Parents MUST complete this SummerCampForm upon completing registration. 
Parents MUST provide a current school physical on the first day of camp - physical cannot be older than 12 months. 
Parents MUST provide an EPI Pen/Asthma medical plan signed by the child's pediatrician, if either condition is present. 
Parents will need to provide child's proof of identity Monday morning. The Code of Virginia section 63.1-196.3 requires all children under the age of 13 when first enrolled in a Virginia school or camp to present proof of identity and age.

Copy of placement agreement or entrustment agreement from a child placing agency (foster care and adoption agencies)
Record from a public school in VirginiaCertification by a principal or his designee of a public school in the U.S. that a certified copy of the child’s birth record was previously presented
Copy of the conferring temporary legal custody or entrustment agreement of a child to an independent foster parent. (identification card issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles DMV)
Proof of Identity (POI) for parent or guardian. The person dropping off AND picking up your child on their first day of camp will need to show their ID. This is nonnegotiable. While we understand this can be an inconvenience for parents, your child's safety is our number one concern.
There will be a $15 service fee to change weeks after tuition is paid.
 
All campers will need the following each day:
lunch
snack (if required for dietary restrictions)
change of clothes
closed toed shoes for the barn and barnyard - nonnegotiable
hat
sunscreen (write last name on container)
water bottle
bathing suit
